On March 5, MPI Toronto recognized some of the outstanding contributors to the meetings industry. It is from the support of our industry's community that individual success and achievement becomes possible. In turn the individual nourishes the community with their contributions of leadership, passion, commitment, dedication and innovation.
Congratulations to all the nominees and award recipients.

Sorry I missed the meeting. It sounds like the energy, as always, was in the room.
I am truly excited about the NEW Mentoring Program MPI is launching in October. First round of Mentors' Mentees to start in January.

It was an incredible evening of recognizing members who have a passion for MPI and our Chapter, as well as bringing together over 370 industry planner and suppliers!!
The nominees were definitely the highlight of the night - congratulations to all of them – it is incredible to be recognized by your peers for your dedication, hard work, contributions to the chapter and overall love for our industry!
The evening was like no other Awards Gala I can remember – the round staging, Studio 54 decor, dancers, lighting – the energy was over the top. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the Awards Gala – it was an experience I’m sure none of us there will soon forget!
Apart from being together for the Awards, it spoke volumes to see such a big part of the industry together in these times. Regardless of what the media says and yes, we are in harder times, it is not time to stand by and watch. As Doug Bolger, the President’s Award winner talked to – we need to take action and let the world know that meetings are important and necessary for business.
The Awards Gala showed all of us that we do have a voice and that in these harder times we can stick together and create a louder voice on behalf of our industry. Members should watch for more information coming out from the Chapter on how we can make a difference and make our voices heard – one place to start is by going to www.meetingsindustrycrisicenter.org.
